Maggie is currently in the ICU at Brackenridge Hospital.  She was admitted on Monday morning, with indications of a heart attack.  This has now been diagnosed as obstructed anoxia brough on by sleep apnea; the symptoms are similar.  Her blood oxygen was dangerously low, and carbon dioxide levels dangerously high.  She is being kept on bilevel positive airway pressure (BPAP), which should bring her carbon dioxide down to a manageable level.  She is responding to the treatment.

On this day in 2001, Maggie's baby brother Bill died of a heart attack at the age of 42. She always marks the anniversary online, but since she can't this year, she asked me to do it for her.  We don't know yet what the financial implications of this hospitalisation will be, but they will doubtless be significant; all contributions (via th Paypal link on the right) gratefully accepted.
