Margot at Cwm Crafnant, Wales, March 2014
My gal Margot, my world’s pion
Driving back from Caer Seion
Cleansed by wind and pumping blood
Jumbled like cerrig mwsoglyd
Seeking secrets like the cymoedd
As a bulwark ‘gainst the void
Must return now to urban welter
Ruled by greyhound and an elder --
Takeout Chinese once a week
Endless rain and concrete bleak
Spreadsheets, tea and VAT
Hour each night with distant me --
Let us wish the gwyllt endures
Through nightly dreams and love like ours.
